Free Showmanship Classes

Please pre-register on entry form
Classes begin at 9:00 am

Class S1   Junior Handler: Handlers aged 4 to 10 years of age
Class S2   Junior Handler: Handlers aged 11 to 17 years of age

Handlers will be judged on showmanship.  The goat will not be judged.  Handlers may show a doe or wether of any breed and age.  Junior bucks are allowed; however, senior bucks are not allowed in showmanship classes.  These classes are unsanctioned and the winners are not eligible for championship awards.  Registered MGR Youth Program Members will earn Expectation Points.

Grand Champion will be selected from the 1st place winners of classes 1-4. Reserve Grand Champion will be selected from the remaining 1st place winners and the animal standing 2nd in the class from which the Grand Champion was selected.

Selected from MSFGA Master Champions and Grand Champions from the four divisions.  Only Master Champions need to register for class.  Grand Champions from each division will be automatically registered.

(not sanctioned by MGR or MSFGA)



MYOTONIC MONEY CLASSES
90% of the entry fees for these classes will be given to the winner. There will only be one money winner per class in the Product of Dam and Sire classes. One exhibitor can enter multiple goats in the fun classes. Class is open to both MGR or MSFGA registered goats.

Class F1 - Product of Dam - Enter 2 kids (either sex) from the same doe, but different sires. Dam need not be present at the show.

Class F2 - Get of Sire - Enter 2 kids (either sex) from the same buck, but different dams. Buck need not be present at the show.

OPEN BREED FUN CLASSES (all breeds welcomed)
F3 - Costume Contest

Dress your goats up in their favorite costumes.  1st – 4th will win prize money based on the number of entries.

F4 - Goat Trail Course - Presented by Ancient Valley Ranch - Limited to the first 20 entries.
A test of your goat's agility around an obstacle course! There will be 3 courses: a peewee, a youth, and a senior course. Click here to view an example of a senior type obstacle course. Course is subject to change. Click here to view Trail Course rules.
