I am a third generation native San Diegan, from the South Bay area and currently reside in Jamul with my husband and 5 children. I have been raising and breeding goats since the late 1980’s.
I have been judging all types of goats since 1994 for a variety of organizations, including the AGS, NPGA, NDGA, and MGR. I have served in the goat world as a 4-H leader, Regional Director for NPGA and NDGA, former chairperson and current member of the Judges Training Committee, former chairperson for the Eastern San Diego County Junior Fair Pygmy Goats, and founding member of the San Diego Pygmy Goat Association, hosting numerous shows for pygmy and dairy goats. I enjoy these joyful, intelligent animals and meeting the folks that share a sense of wonderment about these multipurpose animals.

Judge - Mitchell Schulte, AMGA (Bakersfield, CA)
Growing up on a farm in the Southern San Joaquin Valley of California allowed my two siblings and me to complete all 10 years of 4-H and FFA. My siblings and I had numerous champion lambs at the Kern County Fair, California State Fair and Pomona Fairs. By being a founding member of a local 4-H group allowed my children to follow the same lines, showing sheep and dairy goats with the inclusion of meat goats in the latter years of 4-H. Serving 10 years on the 15th District livestock advisory board for the goat committee allowed me to develop the market goat show at the Kern County Fair. I had the pleasure of judging myotonic goats at the California Myotonic Classic in Lancaster, CA last year.
We are pleased that Mitchell will be judging at the Valley of the Sun Fainting Goat Show, as well as judging the very first Western Regional Championships.
