Myotonic Goat Registry Classes



Classes may be combined the day of show
MGR rules to govern and to take precedence over all others for the MGR sanctioned shows

Classes are the same for all 3 shows unless otherwise specified

 
   

MGR Junior Wether Division

For Oktoberfest Show

For Fall Harvest Show

Class 1

Jr. Wethers: Under 6 months

(on or after 04-17-09)

(on or after 04-18-09)

Class 2

Jr. Wethers: 6 to under 12 months

(10-17-08 to 04-16-09)

(10-18-08 to 04-17-09)

MGR Junior Champion & Reserve Junior Champion Wether
Champion will be selected from the 1st place winners of classes 1-2.  Reserve Champion will be selected from the remaining 1st place winners and the animal standing 2nd in the class from which the
Champion was selected.

Yearling Wethers: 12 to under 24 months of age

Class 4

Senior Wethers: 24 months and over

MGR Senior Champion & Reserve Senior Champion Wether
Champion will be selected from the 1st place winners of classes 3-4.  Reserve Champion will be selected from the remaining 1st place winners and the animal standing 2nd in the class from which the
Champion was selected.


MGR GRAND CHAMPION & RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION WETHER
Grand Champion will be selected from the junior and senior Champion wethers.  Reserve Grand Champion will be selected from the remaining Champions and the Reserve Champion animal from which the
Grand Champion was selected.

Champion will be selected from the 1st place winners of classes 18-21.  Reserve Champion will be selected from the remaining 1st place winners and the animal standing 2nd in the class from which the
Champion was selected.

MGR GRAND CHAMPION & RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION BUCK
Grand Champion will be selected from the junior and senior Champion bucks.  Reserve Grand Champion will be selected from the remaining Champions and the Reserve Champion animal from which the
Grand Champion was selected.




MGR BEST IN SHOW

Selected from MGR Permanent Grand Champions and Grand Champions from the five divisions.  Only Permanent Grand Champions need to register for class.  Grand Champions from each division will be automatically registered.
BEST IN SHOW - Only Permanent Grand Champions entering the show need to register for this class.

 

 

FUN CLASSES (not sanctioned by MGR) - Sunday July 11th only
F1 - Product of Dam - Enter 2 kids (either sex) from the same doe.
Dam need not be present at the show.

F2 - Product of Sire
- Enter 2 kids (either sex) from the same buck.
Buck need not be present at the show.

F3 - Best Junior Herd



F4 - Costume Contest - Dress your goats up in their favorite costumes. A special prize will be given to the most patrotic costume.
